A Note of Frustration

As I am up late working on reports and my submissions, I continuously whine. Not whining about my workload (because I secretly enjoy work) but because of the contribution of a secret member. While people whine about group projects with dysfunctional teams and conflicting members, I have come across a newer problem from a silent member, the cruel ChatGPT.  While this AI tool seems to have crept into my work in its usual ways, I detest it as I can clearly see its apparent invisible presence. Not only does it frustrate me to read passages and pointers that are rendered as an output of this mindless tool, but it angers me that people have cluelessly used it without considering its erroneous outputs and artificial writing styles. While I questioned my team about the references and sources for making such brave and incoherent statements, I was faced with the ignorant "ChatGPT" as a reply. Not to forget, its close relative, Bard, may also be the response sometimes.  I do not deny th

RED: The Colour of Marketing

In one of my recent discussions with a friend about Marketing, especially Content Marketing and Publication, I realised that the colour of Marketing is RED! Are you wondering what I am talking about? Let me explain my RED Theory of Marketing. Before we go to the RED theory, let me tell you that marketing involves activities to satisfy customer needs while establishing brand image, along with delivering value to the various internal and external stakeholders to achieve the goals and objectives of marketing. While there are several strategies and tactics one may follow to achieve the success of marketing activities, the RED theory deals with identifying these processes of marketing in any instance. Now, let me explain the RED theory for you. Each letter represents a stroke of the painting every marketer tries to paint a perfect Marketing Painting.   R stands for Reaching more customers . For your business, be it B2B or B2C, it is essential to reach more customers matching their segme

Day 21 - The End

Image
On March 25, 2020, I had taken up a 21 Day Challenge to read and write. I had explored a lot of ideas and the journey was a pleasant one. With an incomplete reading list, I have failed as a reader. But my blogger side has overwhelmed me. This adventure has turned into a surprise for me. With encouraging friends and supportive readers, I had embarked on my voyage into different ideas. Along with throwback stories, learnings and tips, I had composed several pieces to complete the Quarantine Puzzle. Indeed, this is the only productive activity I have engaged myself in! The COVID-19 Pandemic had put a lot of time on my hands. I had plenty of things on my plate during this pre-summer vacation. A major part of my day went into Online Group games, Blogging, Book Club discussions and designing posters for 5 Minute Farmers. In the midst, I had been roped into directing VenBa Tales with a terrible actor, Venkatesh Balasubramanian. He doesn't say it, but whatever you see on the videos

Day 20 - Books and Writers

Image
I am far away from completing my 21 books challenge. But I am enjoying every part of it. While reading the 7th Book on my Reading List, I decided that today I will write about my Favorite Writers. 1. Devdutt Pattanaik  Mythology has always captivated me. With tales filled with value and learning, Mahabharata and Ramayana have never failed to fascinate me. 'Jaya' and 'Sita' are two of my favourite books in the genre. With illustrations and simple language, Devdutt Pattanaik's books impart the value in the tales to everyone. He presents the Puranas and Vedas relevant to the corporate world as Business Sutras. Besides books, Devlok, his Television Series, also showcases his vast knowledge of Indian Mythology. In this series, the viewers travel to the past as he gives great details on the subject. Spanning over 3 seasons, he talks about every character, symbol and event in the Indian Mythology. 2. Ruskin Bond This Anglo-Indian Author has been a great inspirati
